Cassie and Lisa investigated with Pooch to look for the "Blood Blower". They assumed it was a cruel killer or possible slasher. Using Pooch as bait, they realized the killer was really an angry shut-in who used his hacking skills to use any computer base appliances to kill pets that annoyed him.
